This course focuses on enhancing emotional and behavioral regulation in youth by equipping mental health professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the sources and signs of dysregulation, including trauma, neurodevelopmental factors, environmental stressors, and attachment disruptions. Participants will explore developmental and cultural considerations that impact regulation, along with evidence-based treatment and intervention strategies such as mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and co-regulation practices. The course emphasizes building resilience and leveraging individual and environmental strengths to support long-term emotional growth and well-being in children and adolescents.
Upon completion of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify common sources and signs of emotional and behavioral dysregulation in youth and understand the developmental and contextual factors that influence regulation.
- Apply evidence-based interventions and strength-based approaches to support resilience and promote effective self-regulation in children and adolescents.
