Click on the states below to see the CE information available. If your state is not listed in the table, CE Training Workshops continuing education products will NOT be accepted by your state board as they require providers to gain approval at the state level.

Frequently Asked Questions

At CE Training Workshops we are dedicated to bringing participants quality continuing education courses at prices that everyone can afford with personal attention to each participant. We offer the most competitive prices per training, and unlike other CE organizations, we allow our participants to register up to the start time of our courses!!! We are available to answer any questions you might have.

Because we offer SO MANY options, it is best to check our live webinars page to determine the cost of live webinars based on the length of time and our self-study training options page to view the course costs.

We offer group-rate options for purchases of 50+ courses/live webinar attendees and would be happy to discuss this with your organization. Please feel free to contact Lorna Vanden Heuvel, CEO at [email protected].

You may pay for your courses with a credit card or debit card through our secure credit card processing vendor.

After you have completed your order, you will receive an email from [email protected] with instructions to register with Zoom to receive the meeting information. We also send out a 1-hour reminder with the meeting information and the PDF of the presentation slides!

Please make sure to double-check the spelling of your email address when purchasing to ensure that you receive all necessary communications from us!

If you contact us 24 hours before the live event to let us know that you cannot attend, we will provide you with a refund of the webinar cost minus the 5% processing fee that we are charged for the transaction.

If you contact us within the 24-hour period prior to the live event, we will issue a 50% refund minus the 3% processing fee we are charged.

If you contact us after the event has occurred we will issue a 50% refund 15 days after the event minus the 3% processing fee we are charged once we have confirmed that you have not completed the evaluation to receive the CE Certificate – no questions asked!

We do want to make you aware that we do offer the option of purchasing the recording (which is not included in the cost of the webinar) for $10. If you would like to take advantage of this option, you can email us at [email protected] and we will send you an invoice. You may ask “why do I have to pay for the recording if I have already paid for the webinar?” Good question! It is because you paid for a seat in the live event and we cannot resell that seat after the webinar has taken place.

We do not offer a “credit” as we do not require our customers to set up an account when purchasing a live event and, therefore, have no account to apply the credit.

We do not provide technical support. We do our best to guide a customer who is having difficulties joining a webinar and will assist with password resetting and course access. If you are having difficulties joining a webinar, we do provide our customers with a link to a Zoom help page so that you can contact them do determine the concern. We will provide a 50% refund if the customer is unable to access the webinar once we have determined that the error is not on our end (i.e., we have other participants who were able to join the webinar with the information we provided them.)

CE Training Workshops abides by the following refund policy for self-study (asynchronous) course purchases:

No refunds will be granted if the course has been accessed.

No refunds will be granted for courses purchased more than 14 days prior.

No refunds will be granted if a course has been completed.

CE Training Workshops will send you an email with link to complete an evaluation about your experience. We need to confirm attendance using Zoom reporting and this can take up to 4 hours after the webinar ends. Once you have submitted the evaluation, your certificate will popup as a PDF  and the learner is responsible for downloading and saving the PDF to their device for their record keeping.

The evaluation link is valid for 15 days following the completion of the webinar! If you do not complete it during that time, there will be a $5 administrative fee to create your certificate for you. Please contact CE Training Workshops at lorna@cetrainingworkshops.com for assistance.

It is important that you add this email address as a contact in your email so that future emails we send (including emails containing the webinar link, course evaluation survey, etc.) will not go to your SPAM folder but rather your INBOX.

We realize that sometimes we forget where we store our certificates! We will gladly email you another copy of your certificate at no charge if the completion is within 30 days of attending the webinar. For requests for certificates that do not fall within the 30-day range, we will send you an invoice for $5 for each certificate that you are requesting us to create for you and will send you a PDF of the certificate once we have received payment. We think this is a fair process as it takes our folks time to research and create the board-approved certificate.

Our normal turnaround time for these types of requests is 48 business hours. If you are requesting the certificates be delivered to you sooner, there is a $25 expedite fee for us to provide the certificates for you within the same business day if contacted before 12 pm ET or within 24 business hours.

We must provide documentation to our approving boards supporting the participant’s full attendance and issuing a CE certificate. We are not permitted to provide a CE certificate if the participant has not attended the live event for the published length of the webinar. As a courtesy, we provide a 10-minute grace period for participants to log on OR contact us if they are having difficulty doing so. Outside these circumstances, we will not provide the CE certificate. Our two approving boards are the NBCC and the ASWB. Please see their statements below:

NBCC ACEP: Providers are responsible for ensuring that participants are present for the entire event and maintaining documentation of participants’ attendance.

ASWB ACE: CE providers are required to accurately document attendance for a synchronous distance learning (live) event and issue certificates of credit to participants who are in attendance for the entire time.

Live Webinars: ACE allows providers to use their discretion whether to provide full CE credit for late sign-in for validated emergencies, and it is expected that this exception would be used rarely. We must provide documentation to our approving boards showing the participant’s full attendance and issuing a CE certificate. Participants must be signed in by the course begin time, attend the entire course, and complete the course evaluation to receive CE credit. Our two approving boards are the NBCC and the ASWB. Please see their statements below. Neither of the approving boards will allow for partial credit (i.e., if you are 30 minutes late for a 3-hour webinar, we do not provide a certificate for 2.5 hours).

NBCC ACEP: Providers are responsible for ensuring that participants are present for the entire event and maintaining documentation of participants’ attendance.

ASWB ACE: CE providers are required to accurately document attendance for a synchronous distance learning (live) event and issue certificates of credit to participants who are in attendance for the full time.

After we have reviewed the Zoom attendance report and within 4 hours after the webinar, you will receive an email with a link to complete an evaluation. After you click “submit” at the end of the evaluation, your certificate will pop up, and you will be instructed to download and save the certificate to your device.

Self-Study Courses:  You are required to complete a quiz with a 70% passing score. Once you have completed the quiz with the required passing score, you will receive an email with your quiz results and a link to “view your certificate.” You will also be able to find your certificate in your dashboard after logging into your account using the “My Account” feature.

Our approving boards (NBCC and ASWB) require that we show proof of attendance for products that are designated as “Live Webinar” (synchronous). While we are happy to provide you with a copy of the recording for a fee ($10-$20), if you miss the event (hey, we know life happens), we cannot provide you with the certificate of attendance just for viewing the recording.

Here are the board’s approval statements supporting this requirement:

NBCC ACEP: Providers are responsible for ensuring that participants are present for the entire event and maintaining documentation of participants’ attendance.

ASWB ACE: CE providers are required to accurately document attendance for a synchronous distance learning (live) event and issue certificates of credit to participants who are in attendance for the full time.

No. While CE Training Workshops’ continuing education events are best suited towards behavioral health clinicians, social workers, and addiction professionals, participants do not need to be licensed to attend.

If you miss a live webinar, we do not offer an alternative that will provide for CEs. If you have already paid for the webinar, we will provide a 50% refund of the purchase cost for the live webinar.

If we offer a webinar on a date that you cannot attend and would like the information for learning purposes only and do not require a CE Certificate, we are happy to send you the recording and a PDF of the presentation materials for a fee ($25). We will send you an invoice after the recording is created. Within 72 hours of receiving the payment, we will send you the link to access the recording and supporting documents.

No. We do not report certificates of attendance to CE Brokers. We provide the participants with a certificate PDF and advise them to save the document and upload it to their respective boards. CE Broker is it’s own CE-approving entity and does not partner with ASWB or NBCC providers. CE Broker also is limited in the states that they partner with licensing boards. Because we are a nationally-approved ASWB and NBCC provider, we are accepted by licensing boards in 49 out of 50 states (NY requires the provider be approved at the state level which we are working on). To provide you with a better understanding of CE Broker’s role in your reporting, see below:

  • CE Broker’s Role:

CE Broker is a platform used by state licensing and certification boards to manage and track continuing education compliance for professionals in various fields. CE Broker explains that state boards use the system to manage and communicate with educational providers, track CE content applications, and audit compliance. This program is generally used for organizations who have not achieved approval as a nationally approved CE provider with either the ASWB or the NBCC approval boards.

Per a representative from CE Broker regarding qualifying for CE Training Workshops, LLC with CE Broker:

“Since you’ve gone through those approvals elsewhere, the national entities that you’ve mentioned are not currently partnered with us. Additionally, each State regulating entity (Licensing Board/Council…) makes its own determinations, meaning that not all State entities use CE Broker for compliance tracking/approval applications.”

In addition, CE Broker is ONLY accepted by the following state boards for Mental Health and Social Work Professions:

Counseling:
Florida
Kansas
Mississippi
New Hampshire
Ohio
South Carolina
Tennessee
West Virginia

Social Work:
Florida
Kansas
Michigan
New Hampshire
North Dakota
Ohio
South Carolina
Tennessee
West Virginia

  • ASWB and NBCC Approval:

The Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) and the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) are organizations that provide their own approval and accreditation for continuing education providers and courses and are not affiliated with CE Broker. Our approval is accepted by 49 out of 50 state counseling and social work boards!

  • State Board’s Role:

State licensing and certification boards, which use CE Broker, ultimately determine which CE credits are acceptable for license renewal or certification maintenance, it is up to the participant to determine if their state board accepts credits offered by an ASWB or NBCC nationally approved CE provider or CE Broker only.

Maximum effort and care will be taken to uphold the complainant’s confidentiality. The Director of Continuing Education and CEO will formulate a response to the complaint and recommend action, if necessary, which will be conveyed directly to the complainant. A grievance concerning a specific course offering, content, or costs may be resolved by modifications to future offerings and/or by providing a partial or full refund to the complainant or an alternative opportunity. The participant who initiated the grievance is informed of the status of his/her complaint at all levels.

Participants who are unsatisfied with the organization’s response may contact the CE-approving entity or their licensing board.

CE Training Workshops is proud to be a NATIONALLY approved continuing education provider with NBCC & ASWB. Our national accreditation will allow Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, and Addictions Professionals to earn CE hours that are accepted by most state boards! Participants are responsible for confirming applicability with their respective boards. CE Training Workshops, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7091. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified and will not indicate an ACEP NBCC Provider approval number. CE Training Workshops, LLC, #1770, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 8/2/2025 – 8/2/2028.

Please review the Approving Boards section to determine your state’s requirements for CEs as a few states do NOT accept CE hours NOT approved directly by their state!
