This webinar introduces clinicians to the foundational concepts and therapeutic applications of inner child work, a powerful approach for healing early emotional wounds and unmet developmental needs. Rooted in attachment theory, parts work, and trauma-informed care, inner child work helps clients reconnect with younger aspects of themselves that may carry pain, fear, shame, or longing. Participants will learn how to guide clients in recognizing, nurturing, and integrating inner child parts through techniques such as guided imagery, dialoguing, and somatic attunement. Emphasis will be placed on creating safety, fostering self-compassion, and supporting emotional reparenting.

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Define inner child work and explain its relevance within trauma-informed and attachment-based psychotherapy.
  • Identify common signs that inner child wounds may be influencing a client’s current emotional or relational patterns.
  • Apply at least two techniques to help clients safely connect with, care for, and integrate their inner child in therapeutic work.
