This training delves into the world of dreams and their symbolism across different cultures. By exploring both universal and culturally specific dream symbols, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how dreams reflect collective human experiences and unique cultural narratives. This knowledge will enhance the ability to interpret dreams in a more culturally sensitive and comprehensive manner, enriching therapeutic practices and personal insight.

Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and interpret common dream symbols that appear across various cultures, and understand their significance in the human psyche.
  • Learn to recognize and respect the cultural context of dream symbols, enabling more accurate and empathetic interpretations in a multicultural setting.
  • Apply the understanding of cultural dream symbols to enhance therapeutic practices, fostering better client relationships and outcomes.

Social workers completing this course receive 1.5 General asynchronous continuing education credits.
