Dialectical Behavior Therapy- Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Mindfulness
$27.00
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has four primary modes of treatment delivery. This is different than other psychotherapies that offer just one mode or aspect of treatment. In this course, we will explore DBT intervention through Individual Psychotherapy, DBT Skills Training, In-the-Moment Phone Coaching, and practice one of the most commonly used techniques. We will explore the core assumptions of DBT and the science behind DBT through a series of videos and technique practice activities.
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Define the core concepts of DBT Emotion Regulation and Distress Tolerance
- Identify what these modules address in client emotional work and skill training
- Practice for implementation-specific skills that can be used in everyday therapy sessions
Social workers completing this course receive 1.5 Clinical asynchronous continuing education credits.
For other board approvals, this course qualifies for 1.5 hours of Clinical, Evidence Based Practices, and General Skill Building continuing education training.
