Meet Your Facilitator

A Wyoming native, Jodi earned an Associate of Science degree in Education from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming, a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Sciences with concentrations in psychology, economics, political science, and anthropology, and a Master of Science degree in Counselor Education and Human Development with an emphasis in Leadership from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming.

Jodi is a Clinical Supervisor, certified Solution-Focused Brief Therapy practitioner, and holds a certificate in the Human-Animal Bond from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work. She has completed extensive continuing education in the area of the human-animal bond and has worked with three registered therapy dogs. In addition, she serves as a tester/observer for Alliance of Therapy Dogs, a national credentialing organization for therapy dog teams headquartered in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Introduction
Objective 1 – Define and determine the differences between administrative and clinical supervision roles.
- Define clinical supervision.
- Define administrative supervision.
- Identify the do’s and don’ts of both.

Objective 2 – Learn how to effectively conduct assessments – Self-Assessment and Supervisee Assessment to inform professional goals.
- Discuss the “why” of conducting a Supervisee Assessment.
- Name the important elements of a Supervisee Assessment.
- Discuss the importance of supervisee Self-Assessment.

Objective 3 – Examine and process stumbling blocks identified through the assessment process.
- Identify stumbling blocks.
- Distinguish the stumbling blocks as viewed by the supervisee and supervisor.
- Apply the knowledge to a case.

Objective 4 – Review and address supervisee burnout, cultural competence, transference, and countertransference via case studies and videos.
- Identifying and addressing supervisee burnout.
- Identify and address supervisee cultural competence, transference, and countertransference.
- Review case studies that reflect the above and apply knowledge learned.
