This course delves into the critical dimensions of ethical and legal conduct in the supervisor-supervisee relationship, providing participants with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate complex situations in their supervisory roles. Through an examination of professional competency standards, emotional and intellectual competence, the unique challenges of telesupervision, and  defining anticipatory guidance and how to use it with supervisees, participants will be equipped to foster effective supervisory practices. 

Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:  

  • Examine ethical & legal conduct in the supervisee/supervisor relationship. 
  • Describe supervisees who do not meet professional competency standards – What do you do? Define Intellectual vs. emotional competence. 
  • Describe telesupervision – Pitfalls, Pros & Cons, and Ethics. 
  • Differentiate between anticipatory guidance and how to implement it with supervisees
