A Brief Introduction to Clinical Hypnosis (1.5HR)
Clinical hypnosis is a therapeutic technique that uses focused attention, relaxation, and suggestion to help individuals overcome various psychological and physical challenges. This practice is grounded in the understanding that the mind and body are intricately connected, and by tapping into the subconscious, one can promote healing and change. During a clinical hypnosis session, a trained therapist guides the client into a state of heightened awareness, often described as a trance, where they are more open to suggestions. This state can help address issues such as anxiety, chronic pain, irritable bowel syndrome, and even certain habits like smoking cessation.
In this training, you will gain a solid understanding of the components of clinical hypnosis and how to begin incorporating some of its principles into your work with clients. You will also learn the next steps you can take if you would like to pursue further training in this powerful modality.
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Describe the basic principles of clinical hypnosis
- Explain how to utilize hypnotic techniques with clients
- Use hypnosis for at least three mental health issues, including anxiety, IBS and chronic pain
