In this webinar, we will examine how Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) can move families out of the problem and into a future place when past conflict no longer impacts their daily lives. Participants will learn intentional interventions to identify resilience and focus on life in the absence of the problem and will discover the most effective way to use scaling, specifically to assess each member’s perspective on family communication to move them into resilient, solution-focused interactions and healing.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- State the difference between problem solving and solution building, specifically when working within a family system and define the family system within the SF model.
- Identify at least two interventions and questions in SFBT that can be used as to assist the family to focus on a future in the absence of the problem.
- Describe ways that scaling identifies each family member’s perspective on challenging dynamics and provides intentional steps away from the problem.
