Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy is a transformative, evidence-based approach that helps clients understand and heal their inner world by working with different “parts” of the self. This course will provide mental health professionals with a foundational understanding of IFS principles and practical techniques to integrate into their clinical work.

Participants will explore the core concepts of IFS, including the Self, protector parts, and exiles while learning how to help clients foster greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and healing. Through case studies and experiential exercises, attendees will gain hands-on experience in applying IFS interventions to support clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational challenges.

Upon the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the foundational principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy and its theoretical framework.
  • Identify and differentiate between protector parts, exiles, and the Self in clients’ internal systems.
  • Utilize key IFS techniques to help clients un-blend from extreme parts and access their core Self.
  • Apply IFS-informed interventions to address trauma, emotional regulation, and self-compassion.
