There has been quite a lot of growth in the area of polyamory/lifestyle swinging over the past few years. Often clients have the desire to explore this but may have questions or concerns that they need to bring to therapy. This creates a need for literate and poly-friendly therapists. This training will introduce clinicians to the world of polyamory and provide information on the community as well as provide helpful resources to learn more and even share with clients. This training will look at ways to broach the topic with clients and support clients who are already in the lifestyle while also discussing ways that clients who are interested in this lifestyle can talk about boundaries and desires in therapy.

Upon completion of the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Define and develop a deeper understanding of the world of polyamory and lifestyle swinging.
  • Develop skills and tools for discussing and exploring the lifestyle in therapy.
  • Develop a deeper awareness of problems that the community is facing and develop the skills to advocate effectively for clients engaging in the lifestyle.
