Part two of this three course Empowered Healer series, provides case studies of healers in recovery and how they used their wounding and healing as superpowers to empower themselves and their patients/clients. This course explores case studies of wounded healer and recovery. Ethical counseling considerations are addressed for counseling the impaired and the wounded healer. Participants will gain an understanding of ethical counseling considerations when treating healthcare professionals. Learn how to carefully address impairment, wounding and recovery with HCP.
Upon completion of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify at least two examples of appropriate self disclosure when treating HCP.
- Recognize the difference between wounded and impaired healer.
- Explain terms such as rescuing, over-identification.
- Articulate pros and cons of counter-transference in the counseling relationship.
- Recognize the importance of trust and rapport prior to addressing impairment.
