Suicidality and self-injury are some of the scariest scenarios we can encounter as clinicians, for a plethora of reasons. And yet, these behaviors will show up in the therapy room for all clinicians at some point. This webinar will focus on the ability of clinicians to understand what is happening underneath these behaviors and determine the next steps for effectively managing them when they do show up.

Meet Your Facilitator

Stacy Blankenship is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapist completing her training at The Linehan Institute in 2015. Her passion to empower others is enhanced by more than ten years of experience working with individuals and groups in a variety of therapeutic settings. Stacy is adept at matching various forms of clinical interventions to best meet the needs of each individual.

In her current professional capacity, Stacy designs and teaches group therapy sessions for people attending the IOP and PHP programs, administers clinical assessments, conducts individual and family therapy sessions, and supervises interns. She has a wide range of knowledge and interests to supplement her clinical approach. Stacy is proficient in teaching Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Illness Management Recovery, Wellness Recovery Action Planning, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, Positive Psychology, and Emotional Agility techniques. Stacy has thorough knowledge of crisis management skills and has a certification in Critical Incident Stress Management.
