This insightful webinar explores the psychological, relational, and existential themes that commonly emerge during midlife, a period often marked by profound transitions and self-reflection. Participants will examine how life stage shifts—such as career changes, aging parents, empty nest syndrome, identity reevaluation, and health concerns—can be both challenges as well as opportunities for growth. Drawing from developmental theory, depth psychology, and narrative approaches, the training will offer practical tools for helping clients navigate midlife with clarity, purpose, and self-compassion. Attention will also be given to cultural, gender, and socioeconomic factors that shape the midlife experience.
Upon completion of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify common developmental and psychological themes associated with midlife transitions.
- Apply therapeutic strategies to help clients process identity shifts, grief, and emerging life questions during midlife.
- Analyze culturally responsive and strengths-based approaches to support resilience and meaning-making in this life stage.
