This training invites mental health professionals to step out of hustle culture and into intentional, sustainable ways of working. Grounded in trauma-informed and mindfulness-based principles, this session explores how to slow down in order to preserve energy, reduce burnout, and improve client care. Participants will reflect on the cultural narratives of productivity that shape clinical practice and learn strategies to cultivate slowness, presence, and spaciousness in both documentation and therapeutic
pacing. Through experiential exercises, reflective dialogue, and guided planning, therapists will walk away with personalized tools to design clinical workflows that support sustainability and well-being— without compromising effectiveness or outcomes.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Analyze how hustle culture and internalized productivity narratives impact clinical workflows and therapist well-being.
  • Describe the role of nervous system regulation and trauma-informed pacing in sustainable therapeutic work.
  • Demonstrate at least two mindfulness-informed techniques for slowing down documentation and session flow.
  • Develop a personalized workflow plan that reflects clinical priorities, protects therapist energy, and promotes ethical care.
