In this practical training, therapists will deepen their understanding of stress and its profound effects on mental and physical well-being. Participants will explore the physiology of stress and examine how it disrupts emotional regulation, cognitive function, and somatic health. Through interactive discussion and experiential learning, attendees will learn to describe stress in client-friendly terms, recognize its symptoms, and guide clients in building self-awareness around their stress responses. Most importantly, therapists will leave equipped with at least ten evidence-informed, adaptable techniques for helping clients manage and regulate stress effectively in daily life.
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Describe the concept of stress
- Define the physiology of stress
- Identify how stress negatively impacts a person, both mentally and physically
- Practice at least ten ways to manage stress
