Perimenopause and menopause are significant transitional phases in a woman’s life, yet they remain under-discussed and frequently misunderstood in clinical practice. This course provides mental health professionals with an overview of the psychological, emotional, and physical impacts of perimenopause and menopause on women’s mental health. Participants will learn to assess for menopause-related influences during client evaluations, integrate targeted therapeutic interventions, and build referral networks to support holistic care.
Upon completion of the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Identify common and uncommon mental health symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause.
- Apply effective assessment tools and clinical questions to evaluate menopausal influences on client symptoms.
