Designed for clinicians without formal EMDR training, this course provides accessible, trauma-informed strategies rooted in Phase 2 resourcing from EMDR. Participants will learn how to guide clients in creating internal resources such as a calm place, containment imagery, and protective figures—powerful tools for nervous system stabilization, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. This training includes demonstration scripts, imagery prompts, and ethical considerations for using these tools outside formal processing work. It’s ideal for providers supporting clients with complex trauma, high reactivity, or difficulty regulating emotions between sessions.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Define “resourcing” and help clients create internal imagery for emotional regulation
- Use containment, a calm place, and protective imagery to stabilize clients in distress
- Apply resourcing tools ethically outside of EMDR reprocessing work
