Supervision is a values-driven, relational, and ethical practice. This interactive, experiential webinar invites clinical supervisors to examine the beliefs, values, and assumptions that shape how they supervise. Participants will explore how identity, power, culture, and professional socialization influence supervisory decisions, relationships, and gatekeeping responsibilities. Through guided reflection, dialogue, and applied case examples, supervisors will clarify their core supervisory values and translate them into a coherent, intentional supervisory philosophy. Beginner and experienced clinical supervisors across all helping professions are welcomed to attend.
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Articulate core supervisory values and how these are shaped by identity, training, and context.
- Describe a coherent personal supervisory philosophy grounded in theory, ethics, and equity.
- Apply intentional supervision strategies that align values with day today supervisory behaviors.
- Identify value–practice misalignments and develop concrete action steps to address them.
