Chronic pain is a complex, multifaceted condition that affects millions worldwide, often reducing quality of life and limiting function. This comprehensive course offers clinicians, mental health professionals, allied health providers, and caregivers the knowledge and practical skills to support individuals living with chronic pain using evidence-based, non-pharmaceutical interventions.
Through a combination of didactic presentations, interactive case studies, and practical exercises, participants will explore a variety of drug-free psychological strategies to manage pain, so that clients can improve the quality of their lives.
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Determine how chronic pain impacts a person’s life
- Identify at least three therapeutic modalities, such as CBT and ACT, that have been proven to positively impact chronic pain
- Practice at least five non-pharmaceutical tools to manage chronic pain
