Therapist can utilize play and humor in therapy by incorporating interactive elements, playful prompts, and even generating humorous responses to create a more engaging and accessible therapeutic experience, potentially helping clients feel more comfortable exploring difficult topics, reducing anxiety, and promoting positive coping mechanisms; however, it’s important to use humor carefully and ethically, ensuring it aligns with the client’s needs and doesn’t minimize their experiences. This course explores the power of humor and play as therapeutic tools to create lasting change.
