Trauma, particularly complex and developmental trauma, can lead to dissociation and fragmentation of the self, making traditional therapeutic approaches challenging. This course provides mental health professionals with essential knowledge and practical strategies for treating trauma-related dissociation.

Participants will explore the neurobiology of dissociation, learn how to recognize dissociative symptoms, and gain insight into the structural dissociation model. The course will introduce evidence-based interventions, including grounding techniques, parts work, and phase-oriented treatment, to help clients develop safety, stability, and integration.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the neurobiological basis of trauma-related dissociation and its impact on the self.
  • Recognize symptoms of dissociation and structural fragmentation in clinical presentations.
  • Apply grounding and stabilization techniques to support clients experiencing dissociation.
