Special Topics in Clinical Supervision: Supervisee Selection Process (2HR)

This 2-hour, interactive training focuses on the critical factors that contribute to successful supervisor-supervisee relationships. Participants will learn how to identify key elements that drive compatibility, assess the unique needs and preferences of both supervisors and supervisees, and implement strategies that promote mutual growth and effective collaboration. Through case studies and guided discussions, attendees will gain practical tools for effectively matching supervisors and supervisees based on compatibility. This training is designed for both novice and experienced clinical supervisors across various mental health disciplines.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Develop and implement matching strategies
  • Identify key factors for supervisor-supervisee compatibility
  • Evaluate supervisors’ qualifications, skills, and mentoring styles, while assessing supervisees’ needs, learning preferences, and career goals
