This training is designed to equip you with effective, evidence-based strategies for working with clients struggling with substance use. This training will explore a range of intervention approaches, including motivational interviewing, harm reduction, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and trauma-informed care. You will learn how to assess readiness for change, address co-occurring mental health concerns, and navigate the complexities of relapse prevention. You will gain the skills needed to support clients in developing healthier coping mechanisms and fostering long-term recovery in a compassionate, client-centered manner.
Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:
- Implement interventions that are trauma-focused
- Identify the range of interventions available for substance use disorder
- Analyze how to choose which interventions to use
