This course is designed to help therapists navigate the ethical and clinical complexities of working with LGBTQ+ individuals. Together, we will explore key ethical considerations, including informed consent, confidentiality, and addressing implicit bias, while emphasizing the importance of affirming and inclusive care. You will deepen your understanding of the unique mental health challenges faced by LGBTQ+ clients, including minority stress, discrimination, and identity exploration. Through case studies, discussion, and practical strategies, you will learn how to create a safe, supportive space that fosters resilience and well-being. By the end of this training, you will feel more confident in integrating ethical best practices with culturally responsive approaches to effectively support LGBTQ+ clients in therapy.
