Clinical Supervision Part 2 – Pitfalls and Dilemmas of Clinical Supervision and Consultation (3HR)

This course is the second in a series of six, designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge to become competent supervisors. Part two delves into the intricate aspects of clinical supervision, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved. Through a combination of theoretical exploration and practical application, participants will gain the skills necessary to navigate the multifaceted responsibilities of a clinical supervisor.  Participants will engage in drafting an Individual Development Plan, review a quality supervisory agreement, and gain knowledge and skill in the supervisory documentation process.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Define the complexities of Clinical Supervision.
  • Identify core concepts surrounding boundaries: dual relationships and counseling vs. supervision.
  • Practice the implementation of the Supervisory Agreement.
  • Create an Individual Development Plan.
  • Review appropriate documentation for the supervisory process and sessions.
