Course Description:
This course is the second in a series of six, designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge to become competent supervisors. Part two delves into the intricate aspects of clinical supervision, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved. Through a combination of theoretical exploration and practical application, participants will gain the skills necessary to navigate the multifaceted responsibilities of a clinical supervisor. Participants will engage in drafting an Individual Development Plan, review a quality supervisory agreement, and gain knowledge and skill in the supervisory documentation process.
Objectives: Define the complexities of Clinical Supervision.Identify core concepts surrounding boundaries – Dual relationships, counseling vs. supervision.Practice implementation of the Supervisory Agreement.Create an Individual Development Plan.Review appropriate documentation for the supervisory process and sessions.
