Chronic pain impacts every area of a person’s life, both physically and well as emotionally. In this training, you will learn how to best serve clients who are engaged in this struggle. Explore a variety of drug-free psychological strategies to manage pain so that clients can improve the quality of their lives.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss how chronic pain impacts a person’s life
  • Identify at least three therapeutic modalities, such as CBT and ACT, that have been proven to positively impact chronic pain
  • Practice at least five non-pharmaceutical tools to manage chronic pain

Social workers completing this course receive 2 Clinical asynchronous continuing education credits.

For other board approvals, this course qualifies for 2 hours of Clinical continuing education training.
