Frequently Asked Questions
How is CE Training Workshops different from other continuing education programs?
At CE Training Workshops we are dedicated to bringing participants quality continuing education courses at prices that everyone can afford with personal attention to each participant. We offer the most competitive prices per training, and unlike other CE organizations, we allow our participants to register up to the start time of our courses!!! We are available to answer any questions you might have.
How much are your courses?
Because we offer SO MANY options, it is best to check our live webinars page to determine the cost of live webinars based on the length of time and our self-study training options page to view the course costs.
Do you offer group rates?
We offer group-rate options and would be happy to discuss this with your organization. Please feel free to contact Lorna Vanden Heuvel, CE Director at [email protected].
What are the options for payment?
You may pay for your courses with a credit card or debit card through our secure credit card processing vendor.
How do I receive the information to join a webinar once I have registered?
After you have completed your order, you will receive an email from [email protected] with instructions to register with Zoom to receive the meeting information. We also send out a 1-hour reminder with the meeting information and the PDF of the presentation slides!
Please make sure to double-check the spelling of your email address when purchasing to ensure that you receive all necessary communications from us!
Can I get a refund for a Live Webinar?
- If you contact us 24 hours before the live event to let us know that you cannot attend, we will provide you with a refund minus the 5% processing fee that CETW is charged for the transaction. If you contact us on the event day, no refund or credit will be applied as we cannot resell the seat at that point.
- No refunds or credits will be made due to technical problems arising from a participant’s equipment, internet, or inability to log into the Zoom webinar. We do have folks on hand to assist you at the beginning of the event; however, we are NOT a technical support team and will assist you as best we can given the variety of devices and programs folks will be using.
- We will not issue a refund/credit if we are contacted after the webinar about the inability to attend.
- If you have purchased a seat in the live webinar and cannot attend, we provide a copy of the recording for a fee of $10. You will NOT receive CE hours for watching the recording as live events require attendance to receive CE credit.
Can I cancel a Self-Study course once I have purchased it?
We do not provide a refund for purchases of self-study courses.
Why do you recommend that I add [email protected] and [email protected] to my approved email list?
It is important that you add this email address as a contact in your email so that future emails we send (including emails containing the webinar link, course evaluation survey, etc.) will not go to your SPAM folder but rather your INBOX.
Is there a charge to replace my certificate if I lose it?
We realize that sometimes we forget where we store our certificates! We will gladly email you another copy of your certificate at no charge if the completion is within 5 days of attending the webinar. For requests for certificates that do not fall within the 5-day range, we will send you an invoice for $5 for each certificate that you are requesting us to create for you and will send you a PDF of the certificate once we have received payment. We think this is a fair process as it takes our folks time to research and create the board-approved certificate. We will not be able to provide you with a certificate if requested more than 6 months after the event as we do not store any documents.
What are the approving board’s policies regarding CE approvals?
Please click here to learn more.
What are the criteria for receiving CE credit?
Live Webinars: We are required to provide documentation to our approving boards that show the participant’s full attendance and the issuance of a CE certificate. We are not permitted to provide a CE certificate if the participant has not attended the live event for the published length of the webinar. As a courtesy, we do provide a 10-minute grace period for participants to log on OR contact us if they are having difficulty doing so. Outside these circumstances, we will not provide the CE certificate. Our two approving boards are the NBCC and the ASWB. Please see their statements below.
NBCC ACEP: Providers are responsible for ensuring that participants are present for the entire event and maintaining documentation of participants’ attendance.
ASWB ACE: CE providers are required to accurately document attendance for a synchronous distance learning (live) event and issue certificates of credit to participants who are in attendance for the full time.
After we have reviewed the Zoom attendance report and within 4 hours after the webinar, you will receive an email with a link to complete an evaluation. After you click “submit” at the end of the evaluation, your certificate will pop up, and you will be instructed to download and save the certificate to your device.
Self-Study Courses: You are required to complete a quiz with a 70% passing score. Once you have completed the quiz with the required passing score, you will receive an email with your quiz results and a link to “view your certificate”. You will also be able to find your certificate in your dashboard after logging into your account using the “My Account” feature.
Can I view the recording of the Live Webinar and receive CE credit?
Our approving boards (NBCC and ASWB) require that we show proof of attendance for products that are designated as “Live Webinar” (synchronous). While we are happy to provide you with a copy of the recording for a fee, if you miss the event (hey, we know life happens), we cannot provide you with the certificate of attendance just for viewing the recording.
Here are the board’s approval statements supporting this requirement:
NBCC ACEP: Providers are responsible for ensuring that participants are present for the entire event and maintaining documentation of participants’ attendance.
ASWB ACE: CE providers are required to accurately document attendance for a synchronous distance learning (live) event and issue certificates of credit to participants who are in attendance for the full time.
Do I have to be a licensed clinician to attend your events?
No. While CE Training Workshops’ continuing education events are best suited towards behavioral health clinicians, social workers, and addiction professionals, participants do not need to be licensed to attend.
What happens if I miss a live webinar?
If you miss a live webinar, we do not offer an alternative that will provide for CEs. If you have already paid for the webinar, we will send you a copy of the recording for a fee as the recording is not included in the cost of the live event. We will send you an invoice after the recording is created. Once we receive payment, we will send you the link to access the recording within 72 hours.
If we are offering a webinar on a date that you cannot attend and would like the information for learning purposes only and do not require a CE Certificate, we are happy to send you the recording and a PDF of the presentation materials for a fee. We will send you an invoice after the recording is created. Within 72 hours of receiving the payment, we will send you the link to access the recording and supporting documents.
Does CE Training Workshops report to CE Broker?
No. We do not report certificates of attendance to CE Brokers. We provide the participants with a certificate PDF and advise them to save the document and upload it to their respective boards.
CE Training Workshops is proud to be a NATIONALLY approved continuing education provider with NBCC & ASWB. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 7/2/2022 – 7/2/2025.
Please review the Approving Boards section to determine your state’s requirements for CEs as some states do NOT accept CE hours NOT approved by their state directly!
