The Ethics of Supervision & Consultation: Practical Guidance for Mental Health Professionals (3HR)

This webinar is based on the book by Janet Thomas “The Ethics of Supervision & Consultation”. Participants will learn about the ethical practice of supervision and standards for supervision; examine psychotherapy-based models of supervision and the ethical challenges that can present; review boundaries and multiple relationships; and explore the nuances of group supervision and mandated supervision.  We will also experience the VARK questionnaire which helps identify learning style(s) in order to adapt your supervision to meet the learning needs of your supervisee. (For example, Kinesthetic learners don’t always teach kinesthetic learners well!)

Upon completion of the Training, participants will be able to:

  • Review & Determine Individual Theory-Based Supervision
  • Identify Main Concepts of Legal, Ethical, & Regulatory Competence
