The Journey to Self-Compassion: A Therapeutic Approach to Women’s Wellness (2HR)
This course is designed for mental health clinicians to explore and integrate self-compassion into their practice and personal well-being. Participants will engage in theoretical exploration, practical exercises, and case study discussions to enhance their understanding of self-compassion as a key component of emotional resilience. This course will equip clinicians with therapeutic strategies to foster self-compassion in themselves and their clients, particularly in addressing societal expectations and personal narratives that impact women’s wellness.
Upon completion of this training participants will be able to:
- Define self-compassion and its significance in mental health practice.
- Identify common barriers to self-compassion and develop strategies to address them.
- Apply therapeutic interventions to cultivate self-compassion in themselves and their clients.
- Develop strategies for integrating self-compassion into daily practice.
Social workers completing this course receive 2 Clinical asynchronous continuing education credits.
For other board approvals, this course qualifies for 2 hours of Clinical continuing education training.
