This 3-hour training explores the practical applications of Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT) within the clinical setting. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of RCT’s core principles and learn how to apply them in therapeutic settings. Participants will develop a solid understanding of RCT’s key concepts, including the centrality of growth-fostering relationships, mutual empathy, and the impact of cultural context on psychological development. Examining real-world case studies and engaging in interactive discussions will assist participants in applying principles to enhance therapeutic interventions. This training is designed for mental health professionals seeking to enhance their relational competencies and create more inclusive, supportive environments in their respective fields.
Recorded Live Webinar with downloadable presentation slides and/or handouts, evaluation, and a required quiz. The learner is required to pass with a 70% or higher to achieve the CE certificate of completion. The learner is able to reset the test until a satisfactory score is achieved. Through her clinical supervision, she uses supervision models that use relational, multicultural, and trauma-informed lenses with theoretical grounding in Person-Centered and Relational Cultural Therapies. She is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, and has participated in several Train-the-Trainer learning sessions to bolster her professional growth. In conjunction with being a clinical supervisor and wellness consultant, she teaches master-level counselor interns.
