Perimenopause and menopause are significant transitional phases in a woman’s life, yet
they remain under-discussed and frequently misunderstood in clinical practice. This
course provides mental health professionals with an overview of the psychological,
emotional, and physical impacts of perimenopause and menopause on women’s mental
health. Participants will learn to assess for menopause-related influences during client
evaluations, integrate targeted therapeutic interventions, and build referral networks to
support holistic care.
Recorded Live Webinar with downloadable presentation slides and/or handouts, evaluation, and a required quiz. The learner is required to pass with a 70% or higher to achieve the CE certificate of completion. The learner is able to reset the test until a satisfactory score is achieved. CE Training Workshops, LLC, provider #1770, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 8/2/2022 – 8/2/2025. Liz Sakatos, LCMHC, LPC-MHSP has over 15 years of experience helping adults navigate toxic family dynamics, unhealthy relationships, and the challenges of anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD. She is certified in Psychological First Aid and trained in Culturally Informed Trauma Treatment, Compassion Fatigue for Professionals, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Licensed in Tennessee and North Carolina, Liz also has specialized training in CBT for race-based stress and culturally informed trauma.
With extensive experience in clinical leadership, mentoring, and education, Liz has successfully led large teams of full-time and contract providers while collaborating across departments to develop scalable solutions for operational challenges. She specializes in guiding clinicians to elevate their skills, improve service delivery, and create sustainable balance in their private practices.
Originally from New Jersey, Liz has settled in Tennessee with her family. She describes herself as compassionate and understanding—yet direct, with a dash of irreverent humor.
