An Overview of Grief and Loss (2HR)
Are you interested in learning more about the core concepts of grief? This training will describe different types of grievers, how clinicians can support grieving clients, and therapeutic grief work interventions. Learn about types of losses, such as ambiguous, disenfranchised, and complicated grief. Supporting clients in grief therapy is a vital skillset, and this training will enhance clinicians’ comfort and confidence in grief work.
Upon completion of this training participants will be able to:
- Summarize at least three key considerations of loss and grief.
- Identify and classify types of grief and grief reactions and examine various aspects of grief.
- Formulate strategies and interventions for supporting grieving individuals.
Social workers completing this course receive 2 Clinical asynchronous continuing education credits.
For other board approvals, this course qualifies for 2 hours of Clinical continuing education training.
