Enhancing Therapy with EMDR-Informed Techniques: A Training for Mental Health Professionals (1.5HR)
This training is designed to equip mental health professionals with foundational knowledge and practical skills in utilizing EMDR-informed techniques within therapy sessions. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, evidence-based approach to addressing trauma, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. Participants will learn how to integrate EMDR principles and modified strategies into their current practice to support clients in processing distressing memories, reducing emotional reactivity, and building resilience.
Upon completion of this training participants will be able to:

- Describe the core principles and theoretical underpinnings of EMDR therapy.
- Identify appropriate situations to use EMDR-informed interventions in therapy sessions.
- Utilize EMDR-informed practices to promote emotional regulation, resilience, and adaptive functioning in clients.
Social workers completing this course receive 1.5 Clinical asynchronous continuing education credits.
For other board approvals, this course qualifies for 1.5 hours of Clinical continuing education training.
