This training delves into the world of dreams and their symbolism across different cultures. By exploring universal and culturally specific dream symbols, participants will better understand how dreams reflect collective human experiences and unique cultural narratives. This knowledge will enhance the ability to interpret dreams in a more culturally sensitive and comprehensive manner, enriching therapeutic practices and personal insight.
Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:

Social workers completing this course receive 1.5 General asynchronous continuing education credits.
For other board approvals, this course qualifies for 1.5 hours of General Skill Building continuing education training.
Course Format: Recorded Live Webinar with downloadable presentation slides and/or handouts, evaluation, and a required quiz. The learner is required to pass with a 70% or higher to achieve the CE certificate of completion. The learner is able to reset the test until a satisfactory score is achieved.

Zumrad Ahmedjanova, LCSW-S, LCAS, CCS (she/her) is a mentor, speaker, business owner, licensed clinical social worker, and Board-Approved Social Work and Substance Abuse Supervisor with 15 years of experience and a wide range of areas of expertise. Zumrad is an LGBTQ+ ally and trauma-informed psychotherapist in private practice who works with a diverse population including immigrants and first-generation Americans.
As a speaker and a supervisor, Zumrad shares her knowledge on the bio-psychosocial perspective and strategies for emotional well-being, connecting with diverse audiences and clients in a meaningful way. In the ever-evolving field of therapy and healing, Zumrad stands out as a powerfully effective therapist and leader, enriched by her deep understanding of cultural identity.
Her group practice Art of Wellness Counseling has a goal not only assisting clients to gain insight into their problems but also empowering them to make the desired changes they seek to make in their lives. She is a board member of the Pro-Bono Counseling Network. Prior to working in private practice, Zumrad managed the Opioid Treatment Program in Durham.
