Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has four primary modes of treatment delivery. This is different than other psychotherapies that offer just one mode or aspect of treatment. In this course, we will explore DBT intervention through Individual Psychotherapy, DBT Skills Training, In-the-Moment Phone Coaching, and practice one of the most commonly used techniques. We will explore the core assumptions of DBT and the science behind DBT through a series of videos and technique practice activities.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the theoretical foundations and core components of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Identify and differentiate the four primary DBT skills modules
  • Demonstrate basic use of DBT-informed interventions in individual or group therapy settings
  • Compare DBT to traditional CBT approaches in terms of goals, structure, and client engagement

This recorded live webinar will provide for 3 ONLINE hours of Evidence-Based Therapy.
