Body-Centered Tools for Emotional Regulation (2HR)

The mental health field now recognizes embodied techniques as imperative for regulation and healing from trauma. We will briefly review our nervous system states and focus on how to “center” more frequently.  You will experience body-centered tools for slowing down, accelerating, and releasing, and how to implement them with clients.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Explain sympathetic and parasympathetic activation.
  • Define titration and its importance in regulation interventions.
  • Describe the benefits of visiting a centered state more frequently.
  • Distinguish strategies for slowing, accelerating, and releasing.

This course qualifies for 2 CE hours of Evidence-Based Practices, General Skill Building, and Trauma training.
