This interactive three-hour webinar invites clinical supervisors to move beyond “model confusion” toward intentional, informed, and flexible supervision practice. Ericka Cables, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, ACS, is a licensed professional counselor and wellness consultant. She tailors her approach to address the unique wellness needs and cultural nuances of each individual and organization.
Through her clinical supervision, she uses supervision models that use relational, multicultural, and trauma-informed lenses with theoretical grounding in Person-Centered and Relational Cultural Therapies. She is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, and has participated in several Train-the-Trainer learning sessions to bolster her professional growth. In conjunction with being a clinical supervisor and wellness consultant, she teaches master-level counselor interns.

This section provides an overview of key supervision models, including developmental models, the discrimination model, and integrative approaches. Participants will explore how each model informs supervision practice.
Objective 3: Match Supervision Theory to Practice
Participants will learn how to select and adapt supervision models based on supervisor style, supervisee developmental level, and the clinical context or setting.
Objective 4: Apply Supervision Strategies in Practice
Participants will explore practical applications of supervision theory, including providing effective feedback, managing common challenges, and building strong supervisory relationships.
