This is an experiential training for exploring the power of ritual as a transformative tool in clinical practice. This training will examine how intentional, symbolic actions can help clients navigate transitions, release emotional burdens, and reinforce personal growth. You will learn how to co-create personalized rituals tailored to clients’ cultural backgrounds, beliefs, and therapeutic goals, integrating elements such as storytelling, movement, objects, and mindfulness. Through hands-on exercises, case discussions, and ethical considerations, you will leave with practical strategies for incorporating therapeutic rituals to deepen meaning, enhance healing, and support lasting change.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the components of ritual-creation
  • Identify the clinical benefits of using ritual in session
  • Apply ritual creation to various clinical issues

Social workers completing this course receive 3 Clinical asynchronous continuing education credits.

For other board approvals, this course qualifies for 3 hours of Clinical continuing education training.
