Course Description
Motivational Interviewing is a client-centered, directive approach for boosting intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. This course provides mental health professionals with a deep understanding of MI’s core principles and practical applications. By course completion, participants will be equipped to integrate MI into your therapeutic toolkit, enhancing client engagement and fostering positive change.
Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify the core principles, foundational concepts, and nonconfrontational approach behind Motivational Interviewing.
- Demonstrate Motivational Interviewing techniques to enhance client motivation and address ambivalence.
- Integrate Motivational Interviewing skills with other therapeutic modalities to improve client outcomes.
