This is a hands-on training for psychotherapists interested in integrating Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT; also known as “tapping”) into their work with clients experiencing persistent pain. Rooted in principles of energy psychology and mind-body healing, this evidence-based therapeutic modality combines acupressure point stimulation with cognitive and emotional processing to reduce pain and distress. This training will explore the science behind EFT, its application for chronic pain conditions, and strategies for addressing the emotional components that often exacerbate physical discomfort. Through guided practice and discussion, you will gain practical skills and strategies to help your clients break the cycle of pain, regulate their nervous system, and improve overall well-being.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the components of Emotional Freedom Technique
  • Implement EFT for various aspects of chronic pain
  • Apply EFT to the emotional components of chronic pain

Social workers completing this course receive 2 Clinical asynchronous continuing education credits.

For other board approvals, this course qualifies for 2 Clinical continuing education training.
