Creative Approaches to Trauma Recovery: Expressive Arts Techniques (3HR)

$45.00

Categories: ,

This course is an experiential workshop for clinicians looking to integrate creative, body-based, and sensory modalities into trauma treatment. Together we will explore the therapeutic power of expressive arts—including visual art, movement, writing, music, and drama—to help clients safely process and transform traumatic experiences. We will engage in hands-on exercises and practical demonstrations to learn how creative interventions can bypass verbal barriers, regulate the nervous system, and foster resilience. By the end of the course, you will have a toolkit of innovative, trauma-informed techniques to support your clients in reclaiming their stories and healing through artistic expression.

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Define expressive arts techniques
  • Identify the ways in which expressive arts techniques aid in trauma work
  • Implement a variety of expressive arts techniques with clients

Social workers completing this course receive 3 Clinical asynchronous continuing education credits.

For other board approvals, this course qualifies for 3 Clinical of Clinical continuing education training.
