Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has four primary modes of treatment delivery. This is different than other psychotherapies that offer just one mode or aspect of treatment. In this course, we will explore DBT intervention through Individual Psychotherapy, DBT Skills Training, In-the-Moment Phone Coaching, and practice one of the most commonly used techniques. We will explore the core assumptions of DBT and the science behind DBT through a series of videos and technique practice activities.

Stacy Blankenship is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapist completing her training at The Linehan Institute in 2015. Her passion to empower others is enhanced by more than ten years of experience working with individuals and groups in a variety of therapeutic settings. Stacy is adept at matching various forms of clinical interventions to best meet the needs of each individual.
In her current professional capacity, Stacy designs and teaches group therapy sessions for people attending the IOP and PHP programs, administers clinical assessments, conducts individual and family therapy sessions, and supervises interns. She has a wide range of knowledge and interests to supplement her clinical approach. Stacy is proficient in teaching Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Illness Management Recovery, Wellness Recovery Action Planning, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, Positive Psychology, and Emotional Agility techniques. Stacy has thorough knowledge of crisis management skills and has a certification in Critical Incident Stress Management.
